Goat Scarves

As promised, here's the goat in his new scarf. I actually made two different styles - this one, which is kind of like a cowl neck sweater -- and another one which is more fitted, more like a legwarmer. After seeing this one (I know the pics a bit blurry, but you get the idea), I decided I like the cowl neck style much better, so I hunted around and found some more of the Homespun yarn and whipped up another one for the other goat (it's like having two children, I would imagine, and what one gets, the other must have too).

One of my good friends at work got me the Stitch 'n Bitch desk calendar for Christmas. It has nice tips and tricks, free patterns and write-ups on different yarns. I love it! One of the patterns is a Valentine's Day thong and my friend (the one who commissioned the goat scarves) thinks I should modify the pattern for men and sell them for Valentine's Day gifts. (The original thong pattern is definitely for women.) I don't know if I'm good enough to tweak the pattern, but I'm willing to give it a try!

I've got another little project in the works (just a simple little thing, really) but I can't share it yet, as it is a gift for someone who might (just maybe) read this. :-) I'll share as soon as it is given.

Speaking of sharing, the photo above is from the actual owner of the goat, but my son DID pick up on my blatant hints about Christmas presents and he got me a digital camera. (What a sweet boy.) He even made sure it was delivered with batteries and a memory card, so I could start playing with it right away. Now, I won't be at the mercy of friends and can learn to take and upload my own photos!

Well, TTFN (ta ta for now),
